This was one of the best shows I performed whilst in the US, hands down! We got to the Commodore Hotel very early in the evening to sign in with the booking agent for the venue. But there were so many singer songwriters there that we ended up waiting for at least 4 or 5 hours for my turn! The funny thing about singer songwriter gigs in the US - especially in Nashville - is that everyone sits down on a stool and plays their songs and they're often quite subdued.
Well, I wasn't going to be doing that! First of all I stood up instead of perching on the stool. And I pretty much got everyone in the audience standing up, dancing, and clapping! It was a dream gig!
