Okay so it’s safe to say I’m a little bit over the moon with the fact that the 1970’s is totally back in fashion (I mean, did it really ever leave?). I absolutely love the paisley patterns, the warm colour palette & the fun that comes with styles like fringing & wispy boho layers.
This is what I wore for the David Jones Mother’s Day High Tea a couple weeks ago. It was a slightly chilly day but not cold enough to warrant a thick sweater or (heaven forbid) pants instead of a dress to a High Tea!
I recently found this fabulous dress & wanted to dress it up for the occasion. I adore the pattern on the dress & the way it tones in so well with both earthy tones & black.
I paired it with my leather jacket & satchel (which match seriously well by the way, total fluke!) & black tights with open toed platform heels. I personally think there’s nothing wrong with wearing your open toed shoes with tights in the cooler months. As long as they have a slight transitional feel to them & don’t look like they were bought in the height of summer, it’s a great way to get more wear out of your heels!
