Before I get into an extended love fest over these Valentino Rockstuds, let me just say this: Oh. My. Goodness. It’s been, like, forever. So, explanation time. After I left Universal Music Publishing, I started work at a music tech startup company in Sydney’s Darlinghurst. Within the first five minutes of working there, I just knew I wanted to spend my life working there! The team is amazing, the project we’re working on will change the entire music industry (& even that is an understatement!) & my boss is a Wonder Woman. But, naturally, it has kind of taken over my life. Hence the fact that this is the first post since I think January (massive cringe). I literally went from posting 2-3 times a week to twice over the course of three months! Yikes!
I honestly made it to the weekend & after working so hard, all I wanted to do was just Netlix & chill (like, literally chill, too tired for anything else!). But when my birthday rolled around almost a month ago now, I knew I had to take some photos of my new heels when I got dressed for lunch! I have wanted a pair of Valentino Rockstuds for, like, ever. When I got my first proper pay check from my new job I wanted to celebrate it by buying something super special – Valentino Rockstuds fit the bill perfectly! I popped into David Jones to try them on – at first I wasn’t sure if I wanted the high or low ones. I ended up loving the lower ones. The three straps are gorgeous & the lower heel means they’re so much more comfortable for long days in heels. If you’re considering purchasing a pair of Valentino Rockstuds, I would definitely go for the lower ones – the high ones are stunning but I can’t imagine walking around in them for 8+ hours all day! I have to admit though, they are seriously exxy. So I decided to check out eBay of all places!
Valentino Rockstuds On eBay? Really?!
No joke, I got these gorgeous heels at about 1/3 of the price they were selling them in David Jones. Brand new, never been worn, arrived with the box & dust bag & everything! Honestly if you’ve never thought about buying designer on eBay, it’s time to start thinking about it. A good tip is to inspect every inch of the photos – look for any loose threads, dodgy seams, marks or scratches. Also check out the seller’s positive ratings. As well, don’t forget, you’re automatically covered by eBay’s insurance if what you bought turns out to be a fake or damaged when it arrives. This is 100% not an ad for eBay. It’s my own personal thoughts. Next on my eBay list? Maybe a Burberry trench coat…
Where Did We Go For Lunch?
Icebergs at Bondi Beach. It was amazing! The view is stunning, a picture perfect postcard setting of the beach, the waves, the sky, absolutely sublime. We started off with Aperol-based cocktails (ideal for a blustery, yet hot February Sunday) then sat down to share entreés of Sydney Rock oysters, lightly dusted & fried shrimp, burrata with bresaola. Unbelievable! For main, I had a delicious pasta dish with pork ragu & dessert was a haute couture chocolate creation. You can check out all of the photos on my Instagram here.
